Stupid trash collector #Random written poem?
I ...am like a stupid trash collector.
Stupid because I keep things that are unnecessary and useless for the foreseeing future - which I predict may one day come in handy.
Trash because I keep things that are old and tattered, things that are used once such as scraps, paper and booklets. They may seem like trash to others on shelves but to me they're precious..when honestly, I am lying to myself because all I want to keep are the memories held within those 'trash' therefore I can hold onto the past and be the person that I once was when I was holding onto that paper.. that paper that made me once say 'I love you' and 'I'm falling hard for you' to the paper that made me express my confusion and anger of my confession to you. This little paper gave me hope and light to a new love which I was willing to accept when you gave me your hand to start on this relationship.
But we all know what happens to old love.
It's never the same as starting a new story, it's just pages of known history being re-read.
Why do I give in? Why do I not let go ..it's because I'm a collector.
I am a collector because I keep those pile of junk in my closet, under the bed, on top of my gazillions of shelves. I like to receive more and more anonymous objects to fulfil my satisfaction of nothing but then I get annoyed... I get annoyed at the large amount of stupid, trash things that has overflown my room which has transcended my collection like a calm sea becoming a tsu-na-mi.
But now it is time to eliminate my trash collection for it has become an annoyance. It's like erasing the great memories from my mind, but surely one thing remains. Everything may be gone but there will always be one thing that will remain that may be tangible or intangible, who knows? Depending on how you keep it up, it may be a keeper or a useless object that means nothing to me.
For all I know now is that I'm a trash collector. I'm a stupid trash collector so don't mess with me.
